Marcin Szymczak is an example of how combining a passion for a healthy lifestyle with determination and good organisation can turn into a thriving business. In 2021, he opened his first Fit Cake outlet in Wroc\u0142aw, and today he already manages three outlets and plans to open a fourth. What's more, he does this by combining his business with his full-time job, and he is involved in the development of the brand together with his wife Marta. What was their path to success like?<\/p>\n
It all started with a search for healthy sweets. Marcin and Marta, while taking care of their diet, came across Fit Cake, a brand that was a perfect fit for their lifestyle. As Marcin recalls:
\n- We were looking for healthy cakes and came across Fit Cake by chance. It was then that the owner of the brand, Rafal Ko\u015bciuk, threw in a joke: \"Open your own place\".<\/p>\n
Although there was already one outlet operating in Wroc\u0142aw under the management of other franchisees, Marcin and Marta decided to take it over. The premises were as large as 140 sq. m. This offered great opportunities, but also presented challenges. It was their first experience in catering and running their own business.<\/p>\n
- It was a whole new adventure for us. Over time we learned how to manage the business, and the support of the owners of Fit Cake proved crucial. 'When someone shares their experience and shows you the way, it's easier to face challenges,' says Marcin.<\/p>\n
Martin and Marta's commitment impressed the brand owners from the start. Rafal Ko\u015bciuk emphasises:
\n- Fit Cake is more than a business - it is a community of people who believe in a healthy lifestyle. Marcin and Marta are a prime example of this. Their story shows that even without catering experience, you can succeed if you have the right support and passion.<\/p>\n
After the success of the first outlet, Marcin and Marta quickly started thinking about expansion. They opened a second outlet in 2023 and a third a year later. Interestingly, they have their own tradition - they open new outlets at the end of the year, on New Year's Eve.<\/p>\n
- New Year's Eve is a symbolic date for us, so we decided that this is when we would start new projects. It's already our tradition,\" says Marcin.<\/p>\n
Now they face their next challenge - the opening of their fourth venue in 2025. Their story is proof that consistency, passion and community support can turn a single idea into a thriving chain of venues. Fit Cake is not just a place to eat healthy sweets - it's a space that connects people with the same values and lifestyle.<\/p>\n
