A story full of passion and taste. Patryk, Ola, Wafel and Fit Cake in Warsaw

When Patryk and Ola started planning their own business, they knew it had to reflect their lifestyle. As a health-conscious couple for years, they decided to create a place where healthy desserts were just as tasty as traditional ones. The choice fell on Fit Cake, a chain of cafés that proves you can eat healthy without sacrificing pleasure.

In September 2022, just after the pandemic, they opened their first location in Rembertów, Warsaw. The decision to franchise had been maturing in them for a long time - Ola had a background in diet catering, and their shared values and interests helped them find the perfect business idea.

- At Fit Cake we were enthralled by the flavours. Visiting other establishments, we knew straight away that this was something for us. We want to educate people, to show that healthy living can be just as delicious," says Patryk.

The beginnings, as is often the case in gastronomy, were not easy. The first summer proved difficult, but over time customers began to appreciate both the offer and the friendly atmosphere.

Wafel - the dog who became the heart of the café

The Fit Cake restaurant in Rembertów is distinguished by a unique element - Wafel, an energetic cavalier spaniel who has won the hearts of customers. The café has quickly become a pet-friendly venue, and customers are happy to visit with their pets.

- Animals bring joy. Customers with dogs are always smiling people. With Wafel we have created a community of animal lovers and healthy desserts," says Ola.

Wafel's presence inspired the next step - planned for December 2024, the venue in Warsaw's Wawer district is to be home to a new four-legged friend, Beza.

Educational mission and support of the franchisor

For Patrick and Ola Fit Cake is more than a business - it's also a mission. They want to show that a healthy lifestyle does not have to involve giving up your favourite flavours.

- We often explain to our customers that a dessert without sugar can be just as tasty or even better. We see how our dishes change their attitude towards healthy food," says Patrick.

The support they receive from Fit Cake HQ is also crucial. It is thanks to the network's commitment that difficulties have been easier to overcome.

- We feel part of a larger community. We can always count on help, whether it's with marketing or day-to-day challenges on the premises," adds Ola.

Future plans

The opening of another premises in Wawer is not the end of the couple's dreams. They are already thinking about a third café, with hopes of further development.

- Our venues are like our children - we develop them with love and passion. We can't wait to see what the future holds," concludes Patrick.

Success through the eyes of a brand creator

Rafal Kościuk, founder Fit Cake, is proud to see the development of franchisees such as Patryk and Ola.

- Their story is a perfect example of how passion and consistency lead to success. Fit Cake is not just a business, but a community of people who believe that healthy eating is for everyone. Patrick and Ola's premises stand out for their individual approach and the presence of Wafel adds to their unique character," emphasises.

The support of franchisees is a key element of Fit Cake's strategy. Rafał Kościuk points out that, through joint efforts, the chain can grow and inspire more entrepreneurs.

- We are always ready to help our partners. Thanks to their commitment, the Fit Cake brand is increasingly recognised and appreciated," he concludes.

The story of Patrick, Ola and Wafel shows that a combination of passion, support and hard work can change lives for the better - both theirs and their clients'.
