Fit Cake strengthens market position thanks to trusted partners

While the franchise industry is going through turbulent times, the Bialystok-based Fit Cake brand - a pioneer of the healthy dessert segment in Poland - is enjoying spectacular success. The chain's three key locations, Gdańsk, Poznań and Niepołomice, have officially confirmed the continuation of their partnership for another five-year term, providing clear evidence of the viability and prospectiveness of the brand's business model.

Extension of cooperation is a vote of confidence

As Rafal Kościuk, creator of the Fit Cake brand, points out: "The franchise market is currently in an extremely difficult situation. Our colleagues' decision to continue to partner for the next few years is invaluable confirmation to us that we have created a business that is valuable and crisis-proof.".

Poznañ expansion - from a single point to a chain of establishments

The brand's first Poznan outlet, located in Grunwald and in operation for almost five years, has this year seen its 'twin brother' in the prestigious Posnania - the city's largest shopping centre. The owner, who already manages a multi-unit franchise, makes no secret of his ambitions for further growth and has officially confirmed long-term plans with the brand.

The story of the Poznan franchisees is one of transforming a personal health experience into a business mission - they offer customers a revolutionary alternative to classic sweets, while building an engaged community around a philosophy of healthy eating.

Gdansk - development through partnership

Mr Łukasz, who runs the Fit Cake outlet in Gdańsk, also declared a five-year continuation of the cooperation, demonstrating the financial stability and growth potential of the business even in the current unfavourable economic conditions.

What's more, the Gdansk-based partner is actively involved in the brand's expansion in the local market, supporting the recruitment of new franchisees. An intensive search for additional locations is currently underway, and Mr Lukasz himself is considering launching another non-confectionery store under the Fit Cake banner.

Life transformation - from chalkboard to fit dessert counter

The most inspiring story in the Fit Cake family is undoubtedly Mrs Magda from Niepołomice. This Polish teacher made a radical career turnaround in September 2020, opening her non-cake shop without any previous entrepreneurial experience. She decided to take this step thanks to the support of her husband, precisely at the most inauspicious moment in history.

"No one around me took it seriously. I gave up the certainty of a full-time job for a risky adventure in a completely unknown field." - says Magda.

Just two months after the launch came the pandemic and the national quarantine. The location in the deserted mall proved to be a real test of endurance - the surrounding service outlets closed their doors one by one. Five different businesses in the same facility capitulated, but Fit Cake persevered.

Ms Magda made a brave decision to relocate - she moved the business to the centre of Niepołomice, choosing a charming establishment built on the foundations of a 19th-century barn. Authentic 120-year-old wooden doors have become a distinctive feature of the premises' design, giving it a unique character.

Despite five surgical interventions in the last two years, the owner was always able to rely on the comprehensive support of the head office, Rafal and Ewelina, who were constantly available.

"Rafal and Ewelina were a constant point of reference for me. He constantly inspired me to act, she systematically provided new dessert concepts. Communication was constant and help was immediate, regardless of the stage of the business." - points out the franchisee.

Today, the Niepolomice non-cookery enjoys cult status in local gastronomy, and Ms Magda categorically rejects the idea of returning to her previous profession.

"Fit Cake has made a total metamorphosis of my life - I feel immense gratitude for this opportunity." - she says with conviction. After a four-year intensive commitment, it was natural for her to sign a contract for another five years.

Confidence in times of uncertainty - the foundation for success

"Watching our partners not only stay with us, but also scale their operations and allocate capital to new outlets, demonstrates the practical effectiveness of the Fit Cake model. This is a most valuable accolade and an impetus for us to continue providing intensive support to our associates." - concludes Rafał Kościuk.

The strategic decisions of franchisees from three key locations to renew their contracts for five years are a clear confirmation that Fit Cake offers a solid and growing business concept. At a time when the franchise sector is facing major perturbations, the long-term commitment of the business partners verifies the strength of the brand identity and the quality of the operational support offered by the network developers.
