We address our fit desserts to everyone who cares about health. But people who cannot have traditional sweets are particularly grateful recipients. It is with us that small and large allergy sufferers, diabetics, gluten-free, celiac or obesity sufferers stock up. It is to us that mothers come to get a birthday cake for them. Now We also respond to the needs of customers suffering from SIBO, an intestinal disorder. We have developed a special LOW FODMAP menu for them. It is already available at our outlets!

What is SIBO?
SIBO is plaguing an increasing proportion of the population, although it is not yet frequently diagnosed. Women are particularly vulnerable to it. It even affects people who are very careful about their diet and lead active lifestyles. It causes visible and troublesome bloating and stomach pains. The cause of the disease is an overgrowth of intestinal bacterial flora. It gives symptoms similar to irritable bowel syndrome, but is much more common. It is mainly treated by following a proper diet.
Fit Cake moves to help
As it happened, SIBO also started to bother our main flavour creator, Ewelina Choińska, author of all the recipes at Fit Cake and co-owner of the chain, and privately a fitness athlete. So she decided to do something about it immediately.

It has introduced products to the Fit Cake range, in line with a special diet developed by doctors and recommended for people with SIBO and irritable bowel syndrome - LOW FODMAP. It consists of limiting the consumption of products rich in FODMAPs, i.e. fructose, lactose, oligosaccharides (fructans and galactans) and polyols, or sugar alcohols (erythritol, maltitol, mannitol, xylitol, isomaltose). In the LOW FODMAP diet, these products are replaced by healthier equivalents. Such desserts can already be found in our establishments.
LOW FODMAP in the Fit Cake display cases
For the time being, this line of fit products offers cakes (pinacolada flavour, chocolate cake and vanilla cake with strawberries), easily digestible cakes (vegan cheesecake a'la LOTUS biscoff, fudge cake, raspberry crisp, lemon straciatella, carrot cake or brownie with salted caramel and salted popcorn). At Fit Cake, you can also buy the NO-MILK SNACK bar or vanilla-raspberry quinoa, which are suitable for SIBO sufferers.

The main problem in creating these desserts was finding the right sweetener. We put on rice syrup and stevia, which are not on the blacklist, banned for SIBO sufferers.
We try to stay up-to-date all the time, listening to the needs of our customers. We are also working on new treats, in line with our mission: healthy but sweet.
